Katy Cawkwell has been telling traditional tales since 1996, drawing especially on British and Norse material. She has performed in a wide range of venues - from a tale of Loki in a burial chamber on Anglesey to a 20 minute version of "The Ring of the Nibelung" at the Barbican to a presentation of the myths behind the Ring Cycle at the Royal Opera House. Early exposure to Wagner and the recent revival of interest in Tolkien's work prompted her to seek out the original sources for the stories of the Ring.
